Color was pretty dark gold for a relatively young wine, but there were no other signs that this was flawed or aging prematurely. An almost Alsatian nose with some kerosene. Fairly dry. Did not taste like it smelled. A nice alternative white. There's a lot going on with this wine, though that doesn't necessarily mean you'll like it, and I'm sure a number of folks won't. I did like it, but at the price point I can't justify stocking up. If it gets reduced further however I'll probably grab a couple more.

I still have my 2006 ( I think). I remember getting a lot of caramel after breathing for a while

Fascinating wine. Bright intense deep gold color, nose seems a little oxidized - like sherry - honey, lemon, tropical flowers. Very rich mouthfeel. Botrytis is evident. A wine that demands your thoughtful attention. If scoring, 92.

Overlooked this in the cellar. At nearly 10 years of age, drinking wonderfully. Deep gold in color, notes of rich honey, lanolin, and pear. A very lush wine on the palate, with dessert wine characteristics. Agree that this is a thought provoking, mature wine that brings much enjoyment.

A blast from the past. Wasn't this the WOTN white that Hawk or BILOH brought to the first tasting at Sausalido about 100 years ago?
