Nice Chard from Northwest Italy from an area called Valle D'Aosta which is very close to Burgundy. Gave about an hour to breathe, this wine has some nice wet stone and mineral quality especially on the finish, racy but with good texture, lemon, melon fruit with a touch of almond and good balance. This just dropped down to $20 from $25 and bought 4 more.

Very nice Chard, one of the few I've had from Italy. Agree with J2K's impression. Notes of white peach, honeydew, candle wax, & mineral. Very smooth, soft & balanced. A solid find.

I liked it too, although maybe not as much as the others. I guess I was hoping for even more austerity, more minerality, coming from the mountains of VdA. But then again I am not really much of a Chard guy.

Really wavered back & forth on the rating. Mineral (metallic) on the nose & finish but much sweeter than I expected on the palate. Dry but almost an apricot sweet quality. Still a very tasty wine. That said the QPR is lower than the rating for me. Will pick up more for Mrs. B but not many more.
