Very interesting wine. Dark purple, quiet fruity nose. Really attacks the palate. Not really tannic, but powerful, balanced. Dark fruits, spice, some chalky minerals. Paired very well with steak. I will get more.

Decanted 3 hours. I could have smelled this all night & been happy. The nose was Cal Cab straight up, as was the opening salvo. Dark cherry, some graphite, some violet & then gone. The wine disappeared mid-palate & was a little bitter to boot. Very strange sensation & shared by 2 others tasting it. Maybe it needs more time but not in my cellar.

I found this quite enjoyable. A full-bodied & pretty dry red that has earthy & herbal notes, spice, dark cherry on the palate, and a little tobacco. Will buy more of now and to hold a bit longer. Good recommendation, tonypoli.

I let this breathe for about an hour before tasting. To me this wine is overly astringent and too much on the front, with the back of the palate getting only a mild rush. I fear that the fruit won’t outlast the tannin, meaning that I really don’t think this will show much improvement with age. It’s not a bad wine, but it’s also not special. I’m on the fence on whether to buy more.
