So I guess not everything coming out of the Southern Rhone in 2010 is gold after all. This was mostly about the fruit with little acidity or tannin. Isabelle also noticed a little bit of mustiness on the finish. Didn't improve after a couple hours. Not a disaster, but just a big old bottle of meh.

PNP- Very tart, sour, and green. Poured back into the bottle. Day 2- much better with some plum fruit coming through and other S. Rhone flavors, there's potential for a better wine, its just too young right now, not sure how much better it will be but needs a few years.

Another vote for Meh. Just nothing interesting here at all, and not that much of a deal for the region to waste any time on this one. I don't see it getting any better with time either - it doesn't have the structure. Not much tannin or acidity, watery, boring. Disappointing effort from a typically reliable region.

ya, I love Gigondas but this was disappointing. That second day I drank it was showing signs of potential but I don't see enough to buy more and hold it.
