I enjoyed the 2006 vintage of this wine (especially when it went to $9.99) but not as impressed with the 07. Has a good mix of red and blue fruit with slight sweetness but also seemed to have that hint of artificial flavor and lacked acidity. I even gave it two hours to breathe. Its an okay wine and I may have had higher expecatations since I enjoyed the 06. For $15 I'll probabaly give it another shot. Stores on Wine-searcher are sellig $25-$35.

Thanks for the heads up J. I still have some '06 & had a bottle around Christmas. There was some left on day 2 & it showed better then. Good to get advance indications on the '07

Decanted an hour or so. Wonderful aroma; dominated by fresh leather, with earth and herbs. Honestly, the type of wine you could just smell and be happy with. Unfortunately, the taste lets you down a bit. Thought the oaky, buttery notes were a little out of balance, though I don’t particularly like those flavors. Still, some nice ripe red fruit. Decent acidity and dusty tannins make for an interesting if unbalanced finish. I enjoyed drinking this, but I won’t be rushing out to get more. http://bit.ly/A1oafx
